Domestic Energy Bills to rise by 15%

Domestic gas and electricity suppliers are preparing to raise prices this summer. Recent increases in the price of both wholesale gas and electricity are the main driver for the latest round of rises. UK consumers , are already feeling the pain of soaring living costs. The average domestic energy bill will jump up to £1,300 a year , the average dual fuel tariff has increased by over 40% in the last five years. Bluemark Consultants have been warning of the impending increases over the last few months and it seems that our prediction has come to fruition. This latest round of increases will add fuel to the debate of power company profiteering. Business energy prices have increased several times in the last quarter and all the indications are that they continue to rise for the foreseeable future. Many UK businesses are really starting to feel the effect on their bottom line and it is imperative that these business use to reputable company to compare business gas prices and to check that their business is on the best possible electricity tariff.

More price increases as gas transportation cost rise…

Business gas prices are rising again …

All suppliers of gas are obliged to pay the owners of the pipe networks a fee to enable them to deliver gas to your premises. With effect from 1st April this year these transportation and distribution companies will increase their prices. These increases have been made within the control mechanisms established by the regulator Ofgem and are outside our influence.

More price increases as gas transportation cost rise

Whilst most business gas suppliers provide for such changes in their pricing mechanisms, in some instances the scale of the price increase cannot be accommodated entirely them. This is the case for many larger business gas consumers. Under the terms of most gas supply contracts, most business gas suppliers can amend their price, and this is something many will do.
